Pediatric Health Clinic at Parkland’s new Richland Health Center

Constructing a medical home for pediatric healthcare in Northeast Dallas County.

The Commitment:  $1,000,000

Parkland is Dallas County’s only public health system and focuses primarily on providing care to the underserved and uninsured through its acute-care hospital and its outpatient clinics located throughout the county. Parkland cares for more than 316,000 people annually, including 60,000 infants, children, and teenagers.

Crystal Charity Ball funds will establish a 3,400 square-foot pediatric health clinic at Parkland’s Richland Health Center being built in a medical desert in Northeast Dallas County on the Dallas College-Richland Campus. The pediatric clinic will offer high-quality affordable pediatric care and will include up to ten exam rooms, a laboratory, and a separate waiting room for sick children. Parkland staff at this new clinic will care for approximately 7,400 children annually.
