West Dallas Community School Capital Improvements
Providing a Private, Christian Education to Children in West Dallas
The Commitment: $1,100,000
West Dallas Community School offers a private, classical Christian education to children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade who live in West Dallas, a neighborhood that is one of the most economically, socially, and academically challenged in the country. The school maintains a 15:1 student-teacher ratio and is dedicated to the development of the whole child, focusing on academic excellence, physical and emotional well-being, and spiritual flourishing.
Crystal Charity will fund the resurfacing of 24,000 square feet of the West Dallas Community School’s roof and the replacement of aging HVAC equipment. These measures will extend the life of the school’s fifty-year-old building, reduce costly maintenance, and ensure students are in a safe, comfortable environment where they can focus on their education. Going forward, 250 students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade will benefit annually.
